McAnespies Too Strong For Gaels

The McAnespies made it two wins from two on Monday Evening with a convincing win over the Connemara Gaels. After Struggling with a win over Mayo two weeks previous the McAnespies knew they had to up their game 110%. A Few new faces were drafted in since Lackluster win over Mayo and everyone in the squad new their position was up for grabs. With that in mind the macs started off strong and tagged on a few early scores. the McAnespies failed to capitalize on the possession and hit 2-9 in wides. the Macs went into the break at halftime 0-5 to 0-1 up. Hudi and Pader warned their troops of the Gaels comeback 12 months previous when they overturned a 12 point deficit with 25 minutes to go to beat the Macs by 2. With that being said the McAneapies came out in the second half and totally dominated the game. With great Heart and teamwork the Macs strolled to the finish line by scoring 4 goals in the second half. With some slick passing and team play the McAnespies won 4-11 to 0-4.

The McAnespies face a tough test on Saturday 26th June when they face the Shannon Blues who Recorded a good win over Donegal at the weekend. Throw in time is 5.30pm in Canton all members are ask to come and show your support.
